
Students across the country are invited to send a poem or essay about what home means to them to Habitat For Humanity.
OXFORD COUNTY - Students in grade 4, 5 and 6 are invited to participate in the National writing contest.
Students across the nation will have the chance to help a family Oxford, Middlesex, Elgin or Perth counties to own a home. The contest has gotta mass success from youth and will continue growing at this rate. Bethany McLachlin is the Family Services Coordinator and Marketing Assistant and said this.
"January 7th and February the 18th grade 4, 5 and 6 students across Canada are invited to submit a poem or essay about what home means to them. Its a great way for students to engage in an interactive and fun way and teaches them about safe and affordable housing."
McLachlin also explain the prizes available.
"The winner in each grade, there will be 3 winners will be able to direct a $25,000 grant to a habitat build project of their choice. And there will also a $5,000 opportunity."
Students will also be able to win a class pizza party and other student prizes. Visit www.meaningofhome.ca to submit your written content between the time period.
