A comprehensive health report on Oxford County is being published this morning. Oxford Public Health is posting its 2011 Healthy Community Oxford Report. It's a detailed look at the overall health of local citizens. Public Health Nurse Iva MacCausland says the information will be of great benefit to community organizations "because it is a really comprehensive review of the issues in Oxford County; some of the priorities that are out there and we have some recommendations". Social Service Agencies will be able to take the report and use it to apply for grants through the provincial "Healthy Communities Fund." Click here to have a look at the report.
