NORFOLK - Norfolk OPP is investigating a crash on HWY 24 West and East Quarter Townline Road.
Around 10 this morning, police responded to reports of a white SUV and a blue pickup truck that collided at the intersection. When they arrived, they discovered that one of the drivers didn't stop at the stop sign.
In a video posted to their twitter, Constable Ed Sanchuk expressed the importance of non-distracted driving.
"Put all of the distractions away. Make sure your focusing 110% on your driving ability. When you're coming up to an intersection, make sure you're checking and having your head in a swivel to make sure those people do stop."
He added that the crash could have been easily avoided.
"This collision was a preventable collision. It did not need to happen. People need to slow down, pay attention to their surroundings and stop at stop signs."
No serious injuries were reported. The driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital for precautionary measures.
