Local business owner William Van Lagen has launched another campaign to become the next Ward 2 councillor for Norwich Township Council.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP - A by-election is coming to Ward 2 in Norwich Township.
A familiar face is running for the empty seat on Township Council, and that is William Van Lagen. He will be looking to reverse his fortune.
"Well, I ran last year and came in second, and thought well let's try it again."
He will be looking to lean on his business expertise in order to help the Township if he is successful in obtaining the open seat.
"Well, the biggest thing is I am a business owner. I would like to bring some business sense back into council. Get the budget in place, and get as much out of our money, and get this Township working again."
Van Lagen will be running against Lynne DePlancke, who is the only other candidate for the byelection.
Ward 2 covers the village of Norwich and residents will take to the polls on Monday, September 18th.
