The City of Woodstock also opened several park amenities this morning, including outdoor picnic sites, outdoor sports fields, benches and shelters.
WOODSTOCK - Phase 1 of reopening the economy in Ontario officially started today.
This means several park amenities are now allowed to open including off leash dog parks. The City of Woodstock is re-opening the following park amenities in accordance with the provincial order this morning. The dog parks should be open by 3:00pm.
1) Off leash dog parks
2) Outdoor Picnic sites
3) Benches & Shelters
4) Outdoor sports fields
Restrictions on social gatherings of more than five people are still in effect as is social distancing.
What remains closed is:
1) Play structures & playgrounds
2) Outdoor fitness equipment
3) Splash pads
4) Public swimming pools
A determination on the status of outdoor volleyball courts as well of any other additional Parks amenities will be announced after tomorrow’s meeting with Southwest Public Health.
