Olympics Recap August 3-5

Canada was able to win a total of 6 medals at the Olympics over the civic holiday long weekend.

Canada had a pretty productive long weekend bringing in 6 medals.

Swimmer Summer McIntosh got her 3rd gold medal making her the first individual athlete in canadian history to win three golds at either the summer or winter olympics.

Josh Lienda and Ilya Kharun shared the podium with Lienda winning silver and Kharun winning bronze in 100 metre Butterfly.

The Womens Eights Rowing team won the silver medal.

Ethan Katzberg became the youngest olympian in history to win gold in Hammer Throw at 22 years old and the first canadian to win gold in Hammer Throw.

Wyatt Sanford captured bronze in 63.5kg boxing.

Finally, Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson complete a huge upset over the number 2 ranked US beach volleyball duo advancing to the quarter finals.
