Norfolk OPP Briefs include an altercation in Waterford, a trailer theft in Courtland and a vehicle break and enter in Delhi.
DELHI - Norfolk OPP are reminding vehicle owners to lock it or lose it after a car was broken into in the parking lot of Our Lady Queen Martyrs Parish in Delhi.
Officers believe suspects entered the unlocked vehicle parked at the Catholic Church on Adams Avenue sometime between 4:30pm and 6:30pm on Friday. Two wallets containing lots of cash, gift cards as well as personal and financial information have been reported stolen.

Police are reminding vehicle owners to make sure their vehicle is secure when they leave it unattended. It's also a good idea to park it in a well lit area and to remove or hide any valuables.

COURTLAND - Norfolk OPP are investigating after a utility trailer was stolen in Courtland.
The trailer owner reported the theft to police just after 4:30pm on Friday.
Officers believe the suspects stole the yellow homemade utility trailer from the Main Street property sometime last week. The trailer is in the 2008 model year and it is valued at approximately $5,000.

WATERFORD - A Simcoe man is facing charges after a concerned citizen reported an assault in Waterford.
Norfolk OPP were called out to East Church Street just before 4pm on Saturday after two men became involved in a verbal altercation. One of the men wanted to start a fight but was stopped by bystanders.
Police say the man tried fleeing the area while officers were conducting their investigation, but they were able to catch him a short distance away.
35 year old John William Baverstock has been charged with causing a disturbance, resisting a peace officer and failing to comply with probation.
