Briefs include a joyride that caused significant damage to a farmers field and the Delhi Soccer fields and a local senior getting scammed out of $5,000.
DELHI - A joy ride in Delhi has ruined the local soccer fields and caused damaged to a local farmers crops.
Police say somebody drove through the Delhi Soccer fields on Saturday night and caused significant damage to the grass by attempting burn outs. Police believe the same car also damaged several crops in the area of Old Hill Road near Shaeffer Side Road.
OPP are looking for a small red vehicle similar to a Dodge Neon. A full sized pickup truck was also spotted in the area and it's believed the vehicles were traveling together.
The damage to soccer fields is going to cost thousands of dollars to repair.
Police are continuing to investigate and are reviewing security surveillance footage in an attempt to identify those responsible. If anyone has any information that can identify the vehicle or the drivers, they are being urged to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.

NORFOLK COUNTY - Norfolk OPP are reminding the public that you will never win a lottery you didn't enter and if something seems to good to be true it probably is.
A local senior is out $5,000 after falling victim to the aptly named "Lottery Scam." Police say the man was told he had won $2 million in a sweepstakes lottery and just needed to forward some money in order to cover the taxes to collect his wining's.
The OPP is warning all Norfolk County residents that if anyone should receive a call from an unknown person indicating that you have won any type of lottery or new vehicle, to please hang up the phone, this is a scam.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says unfortunately these scams are all to common in our society.
"Don't become a statistic. Fraud is a multi-billion dollar enterprise that will only stop when the scammers stop getting money, banking information or personal information. The best thing to do is to simply hang up the phone."
