WOODSTOCK - It was an exciting day in the Friendly City with the grand opening of the new Oxford EarlyON and Family Centre.
The ribbon cutting ceremony took place yesterday afternoon with Mayor Jerry Acchione, Warden Marcus Ryan and Oxford MP Arpan Khanna in attendance. They were also joined by Filomena Tassi, the Federal Economic Development Agency Minister for Southern Ontario.
The new EarlyON centre is located at 75 Graham Street, in the building that used to be home to the Oxford County Land Registry Office. It opened to families in September of last year and it has seen a 1,450% increase in families accessing services since then.
The new Oxford EarlyON and Family Centre would not have been possible without $745,000 in funding from FedDev Ontario's Canada Community Revitalization Fund.
