A blustery winter day has prompted all school transportation for Oxford County to be cancelled for the day.
UPDATE - 9:20 a.m: The Wind Warning has come to an end, however the Blowing Snow Advisory is still in effect for the region.
OXFORD COUNTY - Environment Canada has issued a Wind Warning and Blowing Snow Advisory for the region.
The inclement weather has prompted all school transportation in Oxford County to be cancelled for the day. All other area buses are starting as scheduled.
Drivers should take their time getting to destinations today, as there are many snow covered areas across Oxford County.
Strong winds up to 90 km/h are expected to continue early this morning, then diminish by early afternoon.
Authorities are warning residents that power outages, damage to trees and structures are being reported across the region as well.
