Lots of people will help plant new trees in the parks newest expansion
Customer Service Rep Danielle Clayton expects a good turnout on Saturday May 6th.
"We have had lots of interest in it and we have also had a lot of interest in it for high school students as well, they can earn community hours through us. If they would like to come out for those couple of hours we can definitely get them all signed up and get the letters off to them."
Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have written consent from their parent or guardian.
Clayton adds the attendees will have the opportunity to dedicate a tree to someone special.
"We do have opportunities for community members to donate money or even a tree in memory of a loved one or other members of the community they would like to recognize."
The trees will be planted along the parks trail and within the new tree nursery.
The event will between 10am to 12pm and all of the tree planting tools will be provided.
