WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police were called out to a Light Street address after receiving a single complaint about a loud noise, possibly a gun shot.
Officers attended the scene just after 7pm yesterday. They searched the home, but they were unable to find evidence of weapons being present. Police were also unable to find the cause of the noise.
Two people were detained for a short amount of time but they were released afterwards. No one was arrested and no charges were laid.
Woodstock Police have responded to calls like this before, where the noise has been attributed to a car muffler or even fireworks.
