A 58 year old man from Woodstock has been arrested after police say the found him with $35,000 worth of suspected fentanyl and weapons.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police say they seized around $35,000 in fentanyl and other drugs while making an arrest last night.
Officers first spotted a man with an outstanding warrant around 10:40 pm on Wednesday. After a quick chase, police were able to arrest the man. They say he was carrying suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, Oxycodone pills as well as several edged weapons.
58 year old Michael Laekeman was charged with the following:
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of Weapon x2
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Possession of an Identity Document
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
