Traffic continues to be backed up at both the Ambassador and Bluewater border crossings, thanks to ongoing protests.
Protests continue to disrupt traffic on Highway 402.
Essex County OPP states that right now there is limited access to the United States bound traffic on the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor.
The protests started yesterday. Traffic going into and coming from the United States was not accessible for almost 24 hours. People are being asked to used the Bluewater Bridge in Sarnia, which has created large traffic backups as well.
Based on the currently limited access, the motoring public is asked to make their border crossing decisions accordingly.
Please, do not turn around on Hwy 402 and travel the wrong direction. Also, do not utilize the shoulder for travel, as this should be kept clear for emergency vehicle and tow trucks. Plan an alternate route to get to your destination. Be patient, and be safe. #LambtonOPP ^jb pic.twitter.com/t9XpNQEVMe
