The Province confirmed several new variant cases over the weekend as well brining the total to 566 in Ontario.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,023 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 301,839.
Ontario also confirmed several new deaths over the weekend, bringing the total number of deaths in the Province to 6,986. Another 939 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 284,283. Ontario confirmed several new cases of COVID-19 variants yesterday. The Province also confirmed several new variant cases over the weekend, this means we now have a total of 535 cases of the variant that originated in the U.K, 27 of the variant traced back to South Africa and 3 that originated in Brazil.
The province completed 35,015 tests yesterday. We currently have 659 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 280 people in the ICU and 175 in the ICU on a ventilator.
