
The Province of Ontario has confirmed 111 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 3 more deaths. The amount of people in the hospital from the virus continues a downward trend and now sits at 256.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 111 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, which is a 0.3% increase and brings the total number of cases in the Province to 34,316.
The Province also confirmed another 3 deaths bringing the total to 2,644 and 1,683 of those deaths were residents in Long Term Care Homes. Meanwhile another 226 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 29,754.
5,445 of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario since the pandemic started were residents of Long Term Care Homes and 2,268 cases are from health care workers.
We currently have 256 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 61 are in the ICU and 41 are in the ICU on a ventilator. The Province completed 30,780 tests yesterday.
