The Provincial web site is reporting 244 new cases today, however that is because of data added from 2020, so the real number is 164. Case numbers are starting to drop in Waterloo Region.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 164 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 546,217.
Deputy Health Minister Christine Elliott explains why the Provincial web site will read 240 new cases today.

Due to a data review and clean-up, Toronto Public Health is reporting 80 cases from 2020, bringing today's total to 244 cases.
The Province confirmed 9 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 9,224. Another 319 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 535,110.
The province completed 28,755 tests yesterday. We currently have 202 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 161 people in the ICU and 124 in the ICU on a ventilator. The majority of the cases are coming from hot spot regions with 32 new cases in Toronto, 26 in Peel Region, 25 in the Region of Waterloo, 13 in York Region and 10 in Grey Bruce.
