ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,913 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 242,277. Health Minister Christine Elliott states the numbers today are underreported due to a technical error at Toronto Public Health.
Another 44 people with the virus have died, bringing the total number of deaths connected to COVID-19 in Ontario to 5,794. Meanwhile another 2,873 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 209,183.
The province completed 34,531 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,626 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 400 people in the ICU and 292 in the ICU on a ventilator.
