The Province confirmed 230 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, meanwhile another 337 people have made a full recovery; the first time since the pandemic started where the recoveries have been significantly higher than the confirmed cases.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 230 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, which is a 0.7% increase and brings the total number of cases in the Province to 31,090.
The Province also confirmed another 14 deaths bringing the total to 2,464 and 1,585 of those deaths were residents in Long Term Care Homes. Meanwhile another 337 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 24,829.
5,274 of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario since the pandemic started were residents of Long Term Care Homes and 1,948 cases are from health care workers.
We currently have 600 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 116 are in the ICU and 88 are in the ICU on a ventilator. The Province completed 13,509 tests yesterday.
