WPS briefs include two men who were caught street racing on Lansdowne and an 18 year old who was charged with assault with a weapon after hitting someone with a bike handle bar.
WOODSTOCK - Two people were busted for street racing in Woodstock on Tuesday night.
Police say they clocked two men doing over 130 km/h racing each other on Lansdowne Avenue around 10:10 pm. The officer watched the men line up at the red light and then accelerate as quickly as possible once it turned green.
A 27 year old man and a 20 year old man were both charged with street racing. They had their vehicles towed from the scene and licence's suspended for 7 days.
Police are reminding motorists that driving is a privilege and not a right.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police arrested a 33 year old man from London for theft under $5,000.
Officers were called to Brexley Street about a report of two men checking door handles of vehicles on Brexley Street around 3:40 am on Wednesday. After investigating they charged the 33 year old with theft under $5,000.

WOODSTOCK - An 18 year old from Woodstock has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm after a fight on Peel Street.
The weapon of choice was a bicycle handle bar. Officers responded to the incident Wednesday afternoon. Two men were arguing when things turned physical and the victim was hit with the handle bar.

WOODSTOCK - A 35 year old man from Woodstock has been charged with theft under $5,000 after police caught him shoplifting on Norwich Ave early Wednesday evening.
