The Woodstock-Ingersoll & District Real Estate Board hosted their 4th Annual Realtors Conquer the Cold Drive this past month.
WOODSTOCK - Throughout the entire month of November, the Woodstock/Ingersoll District Real Estate Board hosted their 4th annual Realtors Conquer the Cold Drive in Woodstock and Ingersoll for Inn Out of the Cold at Old St. Paul's Church in Woodstock, and Ingersoll and District Inter-Church in Ingersoll.
"I am very proud of our members and the support they give to this amazing event, which continues to be a great success every year," said WIDREB President, William Cattle. "We want our communities to know that your local realtors are not just real estate representatives, but friends and neighbours who care about our communities. I would also like to take the time to personally thank our Realtors Care Committee for all their hard work and dedication that they put towards creating such a successful and well received event every year."
The donations received by WIDREB this year surpassed those of last year. They received a total of $4905 in cash and cheques, $1035 in Tim Horton's gift cards, and $85 in McDonald's gift cards, as well as 225 hats, 73 pairs of socks, 162 pairs of mittens and gloves, 58 scarves, 42 pairs of slippers, and around 887 personal hygiene items.
"The generosity from our Realtors at this time of year is amazing." Cattle commented. "We have done our 'Inn Out of the Cold' campaign for 11 years and revamped it to "Conquer the Cold" in 2015, we saw more donations in 2018 than ever before, and I am very proud to see our donations get greater each year!"
