CANADA - For the first time ever, the average price of gas in Canada has topped $2.00 per litre.
The average price of gas nationwide wide was $2.06 per litre yesterday. The previous record was $1.97 per litre from the week before.
According to GasBuddy.com, several gas stations in Woodstock have their prices set at $2.04 per litre this morning.
The average price of gas in Canada has increased about 30 cents a litre since mid-April. Gas prices have been on the rise since late February, when Russia first invaded Ukraine. The economy reopening and the upcoming travel season will also contribute to the high gas prices.
