Mayor Jerry Acchione says the council will need to take funding into consideration when making their decision.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock City Council will be looking at what the next steps could be for Lions Club Public Pool.
The 77-year-old pool is in need of a new lining, but there is debate on whether to repair the pool or invest in a new one for the facility.
Mayor Jerry Acchione says the council will need to take funding into consideration when making their decision.
“$226,215.00 plus HST to replace just the liner. We still haven't put the water in, we haven't turned on the pumps and checked the pipes and all that stuff.”
He added that putting the funding towards renovations for a new pool would be more beneficial in the long run.
The pool is scheduled to be opened for July 2nd, but that will depend on decisions made at this week's council.
