WOODSTOCK -The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce is joining forces with the Small Business Centre and the Downtown BIA to host a special event.
The Retail/Commercial Safety and Security Workshop will be taking place at the Market Centre Theatre on Wednesday February 26th.
Mike Crabbe is the General Manager of the Woodstock Chamber says it's geared toward the local business community.
"We received the Retail/Commercial Safety and Security Guide from Woodstock Police. Essentially this event is getting us together to go over some of the points of the guide for items that pertain to our local business community, talk about strategies of how to work around these situation, and find local support."
The doors will open at 8:30 a.m. that day, and Crabbe says the presentation will begin at 9:00 a.m.
"We'll have Workplace Safety and Prevention Services there. They are going to be doing a presentation about the guide and going through these points. Woodstock Police will also be there to give a local lens on who to call and how to find the support you are looking for."
Officials from 211, The Canadian Mental Health Association, and Southwestern Public Health will also be on site to answer questions about local resources.
The workshop is free to attend but you have to register online here in advance. You can also submit any questions you may have online beforehand.
