Schmaltz Cup Round Robin Action Begins this Weekend

The top four PJHL teams will begin the round-robin portion of the Schmaltz Cup tournament this weekend before they face off in Woodstock next weekend.

PJHL - The battle for the Schmaltz Cup is about to begin.

The round-robin portion of the tournament will get underway this weekend. The four teams will each have the opportunity to compete in their home arenas before the tournament takes over Southwood Arena in Woodstock next weekend.

In tonight's action, the Clarington Eagles will face the Wellesley Applejacks in Elmira. The puck will drop at Woolwich Memorial Centre at 8:30 p.m.

Looking at tomorrow's schedule, the Applejacks will visit the Lakeshore Canadiens at 4:00 p.m. while the Eagles host the Stayner Siskins at 5:00 p.m.

Stayner will be back on the ice on Sunday for a home matchup against the Canadiens. That game should begin at 4:00 p.m.

The round-robin final will be taking place at Southwood Arena on Friday May 12th. The Applejacks will face the Siskins at 5:00 p.m. that day and the Eagles will battle the Canadiens at 8:00 p.m.

The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday May 13th and the winning teams will battle for the Schmaltz Cup Sunday May 14th.
