Two Tillsonburg women are facing multiple Criminal Code charges after search warrants were executed.
TILLSONBURG - Search warrants were executed in Tillsonburg resulting in charges.
The Oxford OPP along with the Oxford, Brant, Elgin and Middlesex Community Street Crime Units and West Region Emergency Response Team executed residential search warrants on Alba Street today. As a result, two Tillsonburg women were taken into custody and are now facing several charges under the Criminal Code.
First, a 37-year-old woman is facing four counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, one count of careless storage of a firearm, and one count of failure to comply with a release order.
Next, a 32-year-old woman faces three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and one count of careless storage of a firearm.
As a further result of the investigation, suspected fentanyl, psilocybin, cocaine, methamphetamine, clonazepam and a handgun were seized. The approximate street value of the seized controlled substances is over $68,000.
Both are currently being held in custody for a bail hearing. They will be in front of the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock.
