
Police had to close off the intersection of Brantford Rd and Burford Delhi Townline Rd after a crash between two vans. Two people in their 20's from Norfolk County were taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
NORFOLK COUNTY - A serious crash has sent 2 people from Norfolk County to hospital with life threatening injuries as well a father and 3 young children were taken to hospital as a precaution.
OPP are investigating a the collision of two vans that happened last night around 9 p.m. on Brantford Rd and Burford Delhi Townline Rd.
The intersection has a stop sign which police say will play into the investigation.
Constable Ed Sanchuck says there is good and bad news with this crash.
"The good news is we have a 29 year old father and three young children ages 1, 3 and 4 are coming away with minor injuries, but the bad news is that we have a 26 year old female and 26 year old male with life threatening or life altering injuries."
Sanchuck has a special message to all motorists.
"I want to put a reminder out to everyone, if you are traveling on back roads that you are not familiar with, please take your time, slow down, pay attention and focus 110% on your driving ability."
Roads in the area were closed off for the morning commute as investigators continued to try to piece together what happened, they have since reopened.
