
The Township of Blandford-Blenhiem has declared a “Significant Weather Event” due to the high winds and blowing snow. Township roads may not meet the minimum maintenance standards.

BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - The Township of Blandford-Blenhiem has declared a “Significant Weather Event” due to the high winds and blowing snow.
A "Significant Weather Event” means an approaching or occurring weather hazard with the potential to pose a significant danger to users of the highways within a municipality.
The Township is still working to try to clear the roads however the declaration means that the Townships road network may not meet the Minimum Maintenance standards and to use Extreme Caution while travelling on them.
Strong westerly to northwesterly winds with gusts to 60 km/h will generate blowing snow today. Visibilities in open areas will be reduced to less than a few hundred metres at times.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
