SW Public Health also confirmed 67 resolved cases today, bringing our active cases to under 300 for the first time this year. Meanwhile the 8th resident of peopleCare in Tavistock has passed away with the virus.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 14 new cases of the virus today, 67 resolved cases and 1 additional death.
The death being reported today was a resident at peopleCare in Tavistock. A total of 8 residents have now passed away at the Long Term Care Home since the outbreak was first declared late last year.
We currently have 12 people in the hospital with the virus, including 4 in the ICU. The Health Unit is reporting 292 active cases with most of them in Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Norwich Township, and St. Thomas. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

Carressant Care Bonnie Place/St. Thomas - 2 resident case, 0 staff cases and 1 death
