The Health Unit is reporting 40 active cases after just 3 recoveries yesterday. 11 of the 15 new cases confirmed today are from Aylmer.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 15 new cases of the virus today and 3 resolved cases.
We currently have 1 person in the hospital with the virus and they are currently in the ICU. The Health Unit is reporting 40 active cases with 17 in Woodstock. 11 of the 15 new cases this morning are from Aylmer. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

Tillsonburg - 1
Blandford-Blenheim - 1
Aylmer - 11
St. Thomas - 4
Central Elgin - 1
Bayham - 1
West Elgin - 1
The Health Unit is also reporting 3 active outbreaks at the Caressant Care Retirement Home in Woodstock, Aylmer Retirment Residence and the Valleyview Nursing Home in St. Thomas. Southwestern Public Health is currently in the red control mark of the opening Ontario Frame work. It is expected we will be moving down to either orange or yellow when the next announcement is made on Friday.
