Southwestern Public Health has confirmed two more active cases in our region today, including another case in the City of Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed two more active cases of COVID-19 in the region today.
One of the new confirmed cases is in the City of Woodstock. The other case is from Elgin County/St. Thomas. This means Oxford County currently has 9 active case of COVID-19 while St. Thomas and Elgin has 6 active cases. You can get a break down of the cases by Township in Oxford County below:
- 3 cases in Tillsonburg
- 2 cases in Woodstock
- 1 cases in Blandford-Blenheim
- 1 cases in Zorra Township
- 1 case in Norwich Township
- 1 case in South West Oxford Township
To date, the Health Unit has tested 2,904 people for COVID-19. We have 62 cumulative confirmed cases, 43 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 13 active cases. We have also had two institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared, both in Elgin County.
