
For the second time in as many days, a resident at peopleCare in Tavistock has passed away with COVID-19. The LTC home is reporting 3 new resident cases today as well.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 23 new cases of the virus today, 43 resolved cases and 1 additional death.
The death being reported today was a resident at peopleCare in Tavistock. This is the second time in as many days a resident at peoplecare has passed away with the virus, bringing the total number of deaths at the Long Term Care home to 9.
We currently have 12 people in the hospital with the virus, including 4 in the ICU. The Health Unit is reporting 271 active cases with most of them in Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Norwich Township, and St. Thomas. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:
