SW Public Health also confirmed 11 resolved cases, meaning we are down to 35 active cases total for the region, with nearly half of them from Woodstock.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 6 new cases of the virus today and 11 resolved cases.
We currently have 3 people in the hospital with the virus and 2 people are in the ICU at the moment. The Health Unit is reporting 35 active cases with 17 in Woodstock. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

East Zorra-Tavistock - 1
Blandford-Blenheim - 1
St. Thomas - 8
Malahide - 1
West Elgin - 1
The Health Unit is also reporting 3 active outbreaks at the Caressant Care Retirement Home in Woodstock, Aylmer Retirement Residence and the Valleyview Nursing Home in St. Thomas. The outbreak at Caressant Care has had 53 residents test positive since it was declared last month, 23 staff members have also tested positive for COVID-19 and 3 residents have passed away with COVID-19 during that time. (The numbers from Caressant Care are the total numbers of people who have tested positive and do not include resolved cases.)
