Active Cases in Oxford County:
- 1 case in Tillsonburg
- 3 cases in East Zorra-Tavistock
To date, the Health Unit has tested 7,083 people for COVID-19. We have 81 cumulative confirmed cases, 70 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 7 active cases. We have also have had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. Two outbreaks were in Elgin County and they are listed as resolved. The third outbreak was at Secord Trails Long Term Care Home in the Town of Ingersoll. It was declared resolved last week. The outbreak was declared after 8 employees at the long term care home tested positive for the virus. Remarkably they did not infect any residents, thanks to their hard work and due diligence.
