Nobody was injured after a fire at a 10 storey apartment building in Paris.
PARIS - Nobody was injured after a fire at a 10 storey apartment building in Paris.
The blaze broke on out Tuesday night when one resident was home. Fortunately the sprinkler system activated and was able to quickly suppress the fire.
Brant County Fire Chief Michael Seth says things could have been a lot worse.
“This is a good news story. The building and unit had working smoke alarms and a sprinkler system which allowed the fire to be quickly suppressed. It was extremely effective.”
Seth says working smoke alarms and sprinkler suppression systems are critical to containing fire.
“When we arrived on scene, the sprinkler system had already extinguished the fire. This could have ended in tragedy but fortunately with working alarms and sprinklers, everyone was fine.”
