Veterinary officials will try to get to the bottom of the deaths of two seals that were being moved from London to St. Louis this weekend. Nunavut and Atlantis died this weekend while being transported from London's Storeybook Gardens to the St. Louis Zoo. The seals were 11 and 12-years old. A third seal, Cri Cri, is in bad condition, and is being treated at the Indianapolis Zoo. A fourth seal, Peanut, is apparently in good condition and arrived at his new home in St. Louis as scheduled. Storybook Gardens manager John Riddell suggested stress caused by moving the animals could have been a factor in the animals' deaths. London Council voted in February to move the seals, rather than update their dated living conditions. The deceased seals will be undergoing an autopsy.
