The growing sport of pickleball continues to make waves in Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - Pickleball courts were a hot topic at Woodstock City Council.
Last night, staff was directed to research how much it would be to construct a multi-court outdoor pickleball facility at Cowan Fields. It was first thought the Brompton Park tennis courts could be turned into hybrid courts, but potential conflict and noise complaints from residents put that idea to rest.
Staff plans to bring a request for pickleball court construction as part of the 2025 Capital budget.
