Thanks to recent growth in Oxford County, property owners can expect a slight decline in their tax ratios this year.
OXFORD COUNTY - The people of Oxford County can expect a decline in their tax ratios for multi-residential and agricultural properties in 2018.
Warden David Mayberry talks about the decrease.
"There is a slight decline for multi-residential and there is a slight decline in the tax ratio for agricultural land, so it will go from 0.25 to 0.235."
Mayberry says it is a good story because it means the County is growing as it should.
With the changes, it is expected that the average property tax bill will decrease by $17.
