
Oxford County's Ella Shelton and the rest of Team Canada beat Czechia and Japan over the long weekend. They will now face Team USA at 7:00 p.m. tonight.
BRAMPTON - The winning streak continues for Oxford County's Ella Shelton and the rest of the Canadian women's hockey team at the IIHF Women's World Championship.
Team Canada crushed Czechia 5-1 at the CAA Centre Friday night. Laura Stacey scored the final goal for the Canadians with an assist from Shelton and Blayre Turnbull.
Team Canada also shutout Japan 5-0 on Saturday. Sarah Nurse scored two goals while Brianne Jenner, Sarah Fillier, and Natalie Spooner scored the rest.
Team Canada will now face Team USA at the CAA Centre tonight. The puck will drop at 7:00 p.m.
