WOODSTOCK - Gear up your dog, for the annual Dog Lovers' Day in Woodstock.
The event will take place from 10 am to 4 PM on Saturday at Museum Square.
Kelly Morrison, Downtown BIA Manager says it's a good way promote health and wellness for the family pet.
Morrison says the community is in full support of the festival.
"Downtown businesses are all on board. We are encouraging them to welcome dogs and their owners into their stores. We are going to try to get water dishes out at a lot of our stores. Some of them are doing dog treats."
Morrison says the activities are all about your pet.
"A festival for the family pet. The four-legged family member. It's really all about the dog."
Morrison says there are some rules regarding the event.
"We just asked that the dogs are socialized dogs. That they enjoy being around other dogs and other people, especially younger people. We ask that they are all on leashes and everyone cleans up after their dogs."
There will be several events, including, two lure courses, holistic healing for dogs, and a Wunderdogs show featuring Lottie the Collie.
