The Woodstock Choralaires will be performing at the Maranatha Church this weekend.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Choralaires will be kicking off the holiday season with a performance at Maranatha Church, Saturday, December 8th.
The Woodstock Choralaires are a choir group that have been performing for over 52 years. Soprano for the choir, Liz Lemon says that this year will be a bit different.
"We're quite excited about this because it's gonna be a lot different from last year. We had a string orchestra last year, this year we are going with brass and we've got trumpet, trombones, french horns and some music specially written for this as well."
Lemon also explained some information on the Choralaires.
"The Woodstock Choralaires are a non profit community choir, we have about 65 members. They've all been singing together for 52 years now. The choir has travelled a number of times to different places in Europe."
This year's performance will be an interesting one, as they've paired up with a brass ensemble for a combination of old and new Christmas carols.
The Choralaires will be holding two performances on Saturday, one at 2:00 pm, and another at 7:00 pm.
