Theatre Woodstock will have many different dance and cultural groups on display this Sunday for Let's Dance Canada.
WOODSTOCK - A special event is coming to Theatre Woodstock to celebrate the art of dance.
The Theatre and Lilybear Dance Boutique are hosting the second annual Let's Dance Canada on Danse and will have an afternoon of incredible performances by local dance studios and special guests. Marketing and Communications Manager, Sarah Hodgkinson explains the meaning behind the event.
"It's basically a celebration that happens across Canada. The idea being that dance studios, dance groups, dance associations, and cultural groups open their doors, they welcome people in. We've decided at Theatre Woodstock to make it easier, instead of people going all over the town, they can just come on Sunday, November 3rd."
The event will happen from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and there will be presentations from different dance and cultural groups throughout the afternoon. There will dances from many styles including tap, jazz, ballet, ballroom, highland, and bhangra. Tickets will cost $15 and Hodgkinson says how they can be purchased.
"You can either buy them at the door or buy them online, you can pick your seats if you buy them online. Our box office manager is always at the box office two hours before every event."
Theatre Woodstock is looking forward to the event and hopes many people come and celebrate the variety of styles of dance that are in the Friendly City.
