Thousands of union and community groups from across Ontario and the United States gathered in London's Victoria Park Saturday. Several people expressed anger and frustration over the lack of support Canadian workers are getting from upper levels of government in helping maintain existing jobs. Electro Motive Plant Chair Bob Scott told the large crowd he's fed up "This is about a community, a province and a God-damned country. You wanna fight? We're ready to go! This is about the membership - this is about companies coming in and attacking our wages". London's Abused Women's Centre Executive Director Megan Walker was also there in support *Pictured left is CAW Local 27 Plant Chair Bob Scott "The fight to save jobs at Caterpillar is not just about CAW - this is about every union, every working person and every community across this country". Several other Union heads were also in attendance that include CAW National President Ken Lewenza, Ontario Federation of Labour's Syd Ryan and Canadian Labour Congress President Ken Georgetti. CAW Local 27 President Tim Carrie emceed the rally that was London's largest demonstration in the city's history. *Pictured right is London's Mayor Joe Fontana *Video footage of protest: iFrame
