Toronto Maple Leafs on Hunt for New General Manager

The team announced Friday that they will not be continuing with general Manager Kyle Dubas contract, which is scheduled to expire in June.

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs are parting ways with general Manager Kyle Dubas.

The team announced Friday that they will not be continuing with the 37-year-olds contract, which is scheduled to expire in June.

The team won a playoff series for the first time in almost 20 years when they defeated Tampa Bay, before a tough loss to the underdog Florida Panthers in a  the second-round.

Dubas first joined Toronto in 2014 as an assistant general manager. He also managed the AHL's Toronto Marlies to their 2017-17 Calder Cup win.

He took over as Toronto general manager from Lou Lamoriello in May 2018.
