
Toyota announced today they are extending their shutdown until April 20th. Employees will be paid for the first three weeks of the shut down and then will have the option of using vacation days or unpaid time off.
WOODSTOCK - Toyota announced today they will be extending the current shutdown for two additional weeks.
That means workers in North America, including Woodstock and Cambridge will not be allowed to return to work until Monday, April 20th.
Toyota will continue to provide full pay for the first three weeks of the shutdown to permanent and contract production and maintenance team members.
For the final week of the shutdown, employees will have the option of using paid time off, or taking unpaid time off, without penalties.
This is according to an official release from the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Company.
