
OPP have arrested two people from Windsor after finding a stolen truck at a gas station in Thames Centre. The truck was filled with stolen goods, estimated to be worth around $100,000.
THAMES CENTRE - Middlesex OPP arrested two people after spotting a stolen pickup truck at the Husky Gas Bar on Westchester Bourne in Thames Centre.
Police say the truck was full of stolen property from the Peel, Hamilton, London, Chatham-Kent, Leamington and Windsor area.
It has been estimated that police have recovered over $100,000 in stolen property as a result of this investigation.
Police have charged 36 year old Charles Bell with the following:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada as per section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) - two counts.
- Possession Break In Instruments as per section 351(1) of the CC
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada as per section 354(1)(a) of the CC
- Theft of Motor Vehicle as per section 333.1 of the CC - two counts
Police have also charged 24 year old Miranda Ackroyed of Windsor with the following:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada as per section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) - two counts.
- Possession Break In Instruments as per section 351(1) of the CC
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada as per section 354(1)(a) of the CC
Both parties have been scheduled to appear in an Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges.
