
A 25-year-old from Brantford was travelling eastbound on Mall Road in Norwich when the driver went through an intersection and collided with a 55-year-old driver from Ingersoll travelling southbound. Both of them were taken to hospital where they were treated for their injuries.
NORWICH - An individual from Ingersoll is one of two people in hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Mall Road.
Norfolk County OPP, along with Norfolk Paramedic Services and Norfolk County Fire Department responded to the collision before 12:30 on Thursday.
OPP say a 25-year-old driver from Brantford was travelling eastbound on Mall Road when the driver went through the intersection and collided with a vehicle travelling southbound. The eastbound vehicle then rolled over coming to rest in the east ditch.
Volunteer firefighters took the 55-year-old individual from Ingersoll out of their vehicle and was then transported by Ornge to a London area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The 25-year-old driver was taken by paramedics to a local area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The 25-year-old driver from Brantford was then charged with failing to yield to traffic on through highway contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and was issued a Provincial Offence Notice.
