Volunteers are needed for the Woodingford Lodge long-term care homes in Woodstock, Ingersoll, and Tillsonburg.
OXFORD COUNTY - A local long-term care home is asking for volunteers.
Woodingford Lodge has put out a call for people to help with activities, supporting services, or using their special skills and talents to help develop new programs.
Volunteer opportunities include everything from visits, café help, front lobby support, and help at mealtimes, to supporting recreation events, spiritual programs, palliative care, gardening, pet therapy, music programs, "travel and treasures," or a program or activity you propose.
As a volunteer, your personal involvement helps keep residents connected to their community. This is also a great opportunity for secondary students looking to complete their community hours.
Woodingford Lodge is run by the County of Oxford and it has sites in Woodstock, Ingersoll, and Tillsonburg. You can find the volunteer application form online here.
