Voting Opens for Woodstock Chamber Businesses Awards of Excellence

The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce Business Awards of Excellence will be livestreamed on Wednesday November 3rd and you have until Monday November 1st to vote for your favourite award nominees.

WOODSTOCK - Voting is now open for the 24th annual Woodstock Chamber of Commerce Business Awards of Excellence.

It's all online this year, with eight different categories and they have three nominees for each category.

General Manager Kim Whitehead says you have until 10:00 a.m. on Monday November 1st to vote online here and each nominee also had to submit their own video.

"All three videos are spliced together for each category. So you just go in, watch the videos and take your votes. You just put your name in, your e-mail address and which one you want to vote for."

Whitehead says the Chamber Awards ceremony will be livestreamed over Zoom and Facebook Live on Wednesday November 3rd starting at 7:00 p.m.

"Our co-chairs Bob Armstrong and Janna Streef will be hosting the event. They will play each category and then at the end will unveil the winner and the winner will have a chance to thank everybody for voting for them.

Due to the online nature of the event, there will be no President's Award this year. The Chamber President selects an outstanding member of the business community for the award each year. The identity of the winner is always kept secret until the awards ceremony, and the President always has to find way to make sure they attend the awards ceremony without raising suspicion.
