War Amps Canada has been able to return over 1.5-million sets of keys ever since the Key Tag Service was first introduced 75 years ago.
CANADA - War Amps Canada is celebrating the 75th anniversary of it's Key Tag Service.
There's no registration required. Once you receive your key tag in the mail, so all you have to do is attach it to your key ring.
Public Awareness Officer James Jordan says it will come in handy if you accidentally lose your keys.
"It has a nine digit confidential number on it that's linked to your name and address. So wherever you are in Canada if you ever lose your keys, the person that finds them just has to call the phone number on the back and we'll send a courier to pickup the keys and deliver it back to the person that lost them."
It's a free service but donations are always appreciated. Jordan says the money will benefit their CHAMP program for child amputees.
"What we do there is basically provide financial assistance for very expensive artificial limbs. So for all of our child amputee members across Canada, we'll step in and make sure that no one in their family will have to endure the cost of a very expensive artificial limb."
War Amps Canada does not receive any government grants, so it relies on donations from the public. You can find more information online here.
